Job summary

Express Employment International is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to turn data into actionable insight, leveraging Power BI, Databricks, and Fabric-connected sources to support franchisees, clients, and associates.

Work closely with stakeholders to translate goals into data requirements, build semantic models and reports, and uphold data governance and confidentiality. The role blends core BI work with strategic, cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or related quantitative field required.
• Minimum two years of work experience in Power BI reporting and data management disciplines.
• Proven project experience developing and maintaining data models and visual analytics reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex datasets from diverse sources and deliver actionable reports.
• Design and develop Power BI reports and semantic models with best practices for data flows and performance.
• Update Power BI semantic models, optimize DAX, and ensure data governance alignment.
• Administer the Power BI environment including workspaces, dataflows, gateways, and security.
• Automate reports and create executive dashboards for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with management to identify data needs across business segments.
• Promote data literacy and empower teams to use data effectively.
• Support data pipelines and validation in Databricks and Fabric-connected sources.
