Job summary

Copa Health in Arizona is seeking a Lead BHT to join our behavioral health team. You will lead and support daily operations of the assigned home, supervise BHT staff, ensure compliance with policies, and communicate clearly with the Program Manager.

Responsibilities include informing staff of updates, reviewing billed units, scheduling weekly activities, collecting scorecard documents, maintaining home cleanliness, and overseeing residents' medication administration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum HS diploma/GED and 2–3 years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Associate’s degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience in behavioral health.
  • Bachelor’s degree (related or non-related) in behavioral health plus 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inform BHTs of program updates and expectations.
  • Pull and review billed units report daily to ensure hourly billing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager to identify BHTs meeting productivity and provide incentives or improvement plans.
  • Create a weekly activity schedule for BHTs to increase member engagement.
  • Monitor scorecard documents monthly from clinical teams for each member.
  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the home per department standards.
  • Manage residents’ medications as applicable per program requirements.

Who We're looking for

Copa Health is seeking a Lead BHT to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Lead BHT leads and supports the daily operations and activities of the assigned programs to comply with all rules, regulations, and policies that apply under the direction of the Program Manager. This role includes supervisory responsibilities that requires leads to have effective communication, including verbal, and written. The Lead BHT is the leader of their assigned home and is responsible for ensuring the BHT’s in the home are fulfilling the required duties of their role.


Key Responsibilities


  • Supports the program manager by informing BHT’s of program updates and expectations

  • Pulls and review billed units report daily to ensure BHT’s are meeting the hourly billing requirements of their role

  • Collaborates with Program Manager to identify BHT’s that are meeting productivity and show appreciation and award incentives when appropriate. Identify BHT’s that need support in meeting productivity and provide an improvement plan.

  • Creates a weekly activity schedule for BHT’s to increase member engagement.

  • Closely monitors and requests the required scorecard documents to be collected from clinical teams, for each member, monthly.

  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the home is completed in accordance with department standards.

  • Responsible for the management of residents’ medications (e.g. maintain supply, supervise passing of medications, and documentation) as applicable per program requirements.


Qualifications


  • Minimum HS diploma/GED and two (2) – three (3) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR

  • An Associate’s degree and one (1) - two (2) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR

  • A Bachelor’s degree (related or non-related) in the behavioral health field plus one (1) year of relevant experience in behavioral health.

  • Required to maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and are able to pass a motor vehicle screen for insurance purposes in order to transport clients.

  • Experience in working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals.

  • Must be 21-years old

  • Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.

  • TB Test clearance required at the time of hire
