Responsibilities

• Define and own battery pack architecture and system-level design strategy.
• Lead cell evaluation and qualification programs across chemistries and form factors.
• Drive cross-functional execution with mechanical, electrical, thermal, firmware, and safety teams.
• Establish battery system requirements including energy capacity, power delivery, thermal limits, swelling tolerances, and safety thresholds.
• Lead design failure mode and effects analysis for battery packs and protection systems.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and cell suppliers to define manufacturing process requirements and test specifications.
• Develop and execute battery validation plans including electrical characterization, mechanical abuse, thermal runaway propagation, and regulatory compliance testing.
