Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Brookfield, WI, seeks a Manager, Design Engineering – Battery Modeling to lead a simulation team that guides design, development, validation, and delivery of high-power-density lithium-ion battery packs.

You will own the modeling roadmap, set standards, drive verification against tests, and collaborate with Battery Systems, Pack Design, Electronics, and Manufacturing to turn results into concrete design decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
7+ years of modeling, simulation, product development, or validation experience.
2+ years of demonstrated technical team leadership; direct people-management preferred.
Experience leading a team of 3–5 engineers with varying levels of simulation experience.
Experience with multi-physics modeling and design of experiments; model calibration and correlation.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, coach, and develop a team of simulation engineers across multiple battery programs.
Serve as technical leader for battery-pack modeling and simulation; provide recommendations for design trade-offs.
Own and execute the battery modeling roadmap and capability development.
Establish standards, documentation, correlation targets, and quality metrics for components and packs.
Balance simulation and physical testing to support development and risk reduction.
