Job summary

River Crossing YMCA in Fairless Hills, PA is seeking a Lead Basketball Coach to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. You will plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate practices and games, teaching fundamentals in a safe, developmentally supportive environment.

Schedule includes Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4:45pm - 9:30pm and Saturdays: 11:00am - 2:00pm with compensation at $20.00-$23.00 per hour. Enjoy a Free YMCA membership, discounts on child care and summer camp, and opportunities to grow

• 18+ years of age;Experience coaching basketball or leading youth sports programs.

What is needed for this job:

• 18+ years of age;Experience coaching basketball or leading youth sports programs
• Enjoyment from working with children and keeping positive relationships with their parents

Knowledge of basketball rules, fundamentals, and skill progression

Ability to work effectively with children of varying ages and skill levels

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Ability to lead by example and promote teamwork and respect

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

Teach fundamental basketball skills, rules, and strategies in apositive, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment

Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all participants with a focus on building confidence

Ensure participant safety and follow all organizational policies and procedures

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding program expectations and progress

Assist with program setup, equipment management, and facility care

Model good sportsmanship and serve as a positive role mode
