Job summary

Air Systems is seeking an experienced BAS Project Manager to join our Sacramento team. You will oversee BAS construction, retrofit, and service projects from award through closeout, coordinating labor, subcontractors, vendors, and materials while maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in BAS/HVAC controls with strong leadership, budgeting, and planning skills, and are adept at navigating plans, specs, and schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Building Automation Systems, HVAC controls, mechanical construction or related field.
• Proven experience managing BAS, controls, construction, retrofit or service projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, control strategies, electrical controls, boilers, chillers, and BAS.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, sequences of operation, and technical documents.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project financial management.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities; MS Office proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS projects through full lifecycle from estimating to commissioning and closeout.
• Lead project teams and coordinate labor, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and materials.
• Review contracts, plans, specs, sequences of operation, and project requirements.
• Organize and lead meetings with customers, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and address challenges proactively.
• Ensure safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and resource plans; track costs and revenue.
• Identify, price, and secure change orders; maintain client relationships.
• Support field technicians, programmers and commissioning personnel during execution.
