Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Building Automation Systems in San Jose, CA. Lead BAS projects for commercial campuses, data centers and life sciences with a focus on HVAC controls and retrofits.

You will manage customer engagements, coordinate engineering and field teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while mentoring junior staff and driving efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering.
  • 7+ years managing HVAC controls, BAS, or mechanical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls and BAS design.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specs and control drawings.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors and procurement.
  • Proven leadership with mentoring teams.
  • Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Automated Logic or similar BAS platforms preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.

Senior Project Manager – Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Location: San Jose, CA

About the Opportunity: A well-established building automation and controls contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of complex Building Automation System (BAS) projects throughout Northern California. This is a leadership role responsible for managing projects from initial customer engagement through final turnover while supporting engineering, field operations, and project teams.

Projects include commercial campuses, data centers, life sciences, semiconductor facilities, government laboratories, and other mission critical environments, with a focus on both new construction and retrofit work.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple BAS projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, and end users.
  • Develop project estimates, proposals, and change orders.
  • Coordinate engineering, field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, labor utilization, procurement, and overall financial performance.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and control sequences to ensure accurate system implementation.

Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience supporting mission critical facilities, data centers, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, laboratory, or large commercial projects are especially encouraged to apply.
