Job summary

Air Systems is seeking an experienced BAS Project Manager to join our Sacramento team. This role oversees BAS construction, retrofit and service projects from award through closeout, coordinating customer relationships, planning, budgeting, procurement, and field coordination.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in HVAC controls and building automation, with leadership skills to manage multiple projects while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Building Automation Systems, HVAC controls, mechanical construction, or related industry.
• Proven experience managing BAS, controls, construction, retrofit or service projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, control strategies, electrical controls, boilers, chillers, and building automation.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs and sequences of operation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project financial management.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem solving abilities; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS projects through entire lifecycle from estimating to closeout.
• Lead project teams; coordinate labor, subs, vendors, equipment, and materials.
• Review contracts, plans, specs, sequences of operation, and project requirements.
• Organize and lead project meetings with customers, contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; address challenges proactively.
• Ensure safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
