Job summary

Barrio Tacos is seeking a Bartender/Shift Supervisor to lead a fast-paced bar team while delivering excellent service. This role combines high-volume bartending with supervisory duties on assigned shifts, supporting opening/closing, and ensuring top standards across the bar and front-of-house.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of bartending experience in busy environments, a strong knowledge of spirits, and the ability to train and guide team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, tequila, whiskey, beer, and cocktails.
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and accurately according to company standards.
• Maintain strong knowledge of tequila, whiskey, beer, wine, and cocktail offerings.
• Manage multiple orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and end-of-shift reconciliation accurately.
• Lead front-of-house team members during assigned shifts.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain service speed, cleanliness, and operational standards.
• Train and support new team members.
• Resolve operational issues and support smooth shift execution.
• Communicate effectively with managers, kitchen staff, and service teams.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product control.
