Job summary

Eden Restaurant in Chicago is seeking a Lead Bartender to oversee day-to-day bar operations and elevate the beverage program. You will mentor bartenders, manage inventory, and craft seasonal cocktails while maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.

The role requires strong bartending skills, leadership, and a commitment to exceptional guest experiences in a busy restaurant setting.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume or full-service restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional during busy service.
• Leadership or training experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of Eden’s beverage program, including seasonal cocktails, specials, and menu updates.
• Create and maintain cocktail recipes, specifications, presentation, and prep standards.
• Maintain beverage quality, consistency, pricing, and portion standards.
• Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring the bar is clean, organized, stocked, and service-ready.
• Train, mentor, and support bartenders and bar support staff on recipes, beverage knowledge, service standards, POS procedures, and bar operations.
• Lead assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures, bar prep, and task delegation.
