Job summary

The Holiday Inn San Marcos Convention Center is seeking a Lead Bartender to oversee daily bar operations in Spring's Bistro + Bar, delivering guest-focused beverage service in a fast-paced hotel setting.

You will manage inventory, costs, and social media promotion, train staff, and collaborate with banquet, restaurant, and hotel teams to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required.
• Lead bartender or supervisory/manager experience preferred.
• Hotel bar and restaurant experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with inventory management and beverage cost control preferred.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and banquet hours as needed.
• Current TABC certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding food and beverage service to hotel guests and restaurant patrons.
• Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with standards and Texas regulations.
• Lead daily bar operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Manage bar and restaurant inventory, including ordering and stock control.
• Publish social media content to promote bar specials and events.
• Assist with banquet events and provide support as needed.
• Train and mentor bartending staff and coordinate with management teams.
