Job summary

Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites San Mateo-San Francisco SFO is seeking a bartender to provide friendly, timely beverage and/or food service while maintaining high guest satisfaction. You will work to ensure bar area cleanliness, manage inventory, and follow safety and sustainability guidelines.

Flexible shifts and growth paths are highlighted in this posting. The position requires prior bartending experience, a possible TIPS certification, and a Food Sanitation certificate within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bartender with prior experience or equivalent training.
• TIPS certification is a plus.
• Food Sanitation certificate preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized bar areas.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishes.
• Verify customers' ages by checking IDs for alcohol.
• Prepare and serve drinks and/or food orders.
• Take and serve food/beverage to guests at tables when applicable.
• Process guest checks and payments.
• Identify and manage intoxicated guests per standards.
• Maintain par levels with beverage requisitions.
• Complete required side work before shift ends.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and improve scores.
• Assist with beverage inventory.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits per MSDS/OSHA.
• Perform other duties as requested.
