Job summary

Hyatt is seeking a banquet server role in Chapel Hill, NC. This position leads other associates by coaching and directing the team, and ensures the function space is visually appealing with on-point menu presentations for events.

You will also oversee linen and table settings, food station design, beverage service, and uphold sanitation standards while delivering exceptional hospitality and service quality.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related F&B and/or hospitality-related experience. Banquet or Catering preferred.
• Supervisory experience , skills & abilities
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations
• Excellent time management and planning skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
• Ability to maintain close attention to detail
• Experience and a thorough understanding of banquet service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Pay range: $19.00/hr based upon experience

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet associates by coaching, giving direction and may include training.
• Coordinate function space visuals and menu offerings for events, including linen and table settings, food station design, and beverage service.
• Maintain sanitation and general banquet preparation, room refreshes and service flow.
