Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a dedicated Baker for our Bakery Department. You will prepare, bake, proof, and lead bakery clerks, shaping the quality our customers expect each day and ensuring timely orders across the store.

This hourly position requires 18+ years old, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while upholding Hy-Vee's standards for cleanliness and safety. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (helpful if applicable).
• Six months to one year of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and fry department products and proof items as needed.
• Lead bakery clerks and coordinate with the Bakery Manager.
• Check product freshness and labeling, ensuring safety and sanitation.
• Order supplies and help manage the department schedule when needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with their needs.
