Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Lead Backend Developer to design, build, and operate foundational backend platforms that support high-throughput systems across multiple teams. You will focus on request routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching layers, and asynchronous job execution to handle very high traffic with predictable latency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating internal platforms used by multiple teams.
• Designing distributed systems with focus on consistency, availability, latency, and failure modes.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (Java/Go/Scala/Rust/C++).
• Deep knowledge of high-throughput messaging, streaming, event-driven architectures (Kafka/Pulsar/NATS).
• Knowledge of relational, key-value, document, and search storage systems.
• Experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives with stakeholder management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write design documents and present trade-offs.
• Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture.
