Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong background in backend development using Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to solve complex problems.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed with validated standards.
• Applies SDLC tooling, including AI-assisted development, to improve automation and value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability of software applications.
• Leads architecture-evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams.
• Leading communities of practice to promote new technologies.
• Designs and delivers services across a distributed multi-tenant platform (backend APIs, data pipelines, dashboards).
• Champions security- and privacy-by-design throughout the software life cycle.
