Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to shape platform technology and deliver scalable, secure services across cloud-native environments. You will own full-stack delivery from micro-frontend UX to backend systems and mentor teams in modern engineering practices.

You’ll work on the Transaction Development platform, driving AI-assisted development, data flows, and high-impact production capabilities within Global Banking, with a strong emphasis on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applied software engineering experience
• Proficient in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot and microservices
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins and modern tooling

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex software components across backend services, APIs, and UI using Java, Python, and React
• Build and refine AI-assisted capabilities, tool integrations, and production-grade patterns
• Lead adoption of enterprise AI-assisted development practices and secure coding standards
• Improve automation, testing, and incident analysis across SDLC tooling
• Write secure, high-quality production code and mentor teammates
• Achieve operational excellence by reducing toil with automation and reliability improvements
