Job summary

Centris Federal Credit Union in Omaha, NE is seeking an AVP, Underwriting to lead the Consumer and Mortgage Underwriting teams, ensuring sound credit decisions and compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

You will develop, implement, and administer underwriting policies and procedures to support credit quality, oversee daily department activities, and partner with other business units to ensure a consistent member experience across lending channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field.
• 7 years progressive consumer and mortgage underwriting and lending experience with at least 2 years leading a team.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft and lending systems.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead Consumer and Mortgage Underwriting teams and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Develop and administer underwriting policies, procedures, and operational practices to support credit quality.
• Manage daily activities of underwriting department through leadership and workflow management.
• Coordinate lending authority and requests above authority level.
• Build relationships with internal and external members, vendors, examiners, auditors and other contacts.
