Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is hiring a Manager of Lunar Avionics Component Test to lead a team responsible for development, qualification, and acceptance testing of avionics components for the Blue Moon landers. You will partner with design, quality, and operations teams to deliver integrated test solutions across the component lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in development, qualification, or acceptance test of complex electrical, avionics, or electromechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform causal analysis on electrical and systems-level faults and drive corrective action.
• Proven ability to build, motivate, and retain a high-performing team of engineers.
• Fosters a culture of safety, open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement in technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for avionics component test development, qualification, and acceptance.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and requirements for developmental and production objectives.
• Review and approve critical technical outputs including test plans, procedures, and verification reports.
• Coordinate with internal customers to plan, schedule, and allocate resources for test campaigns.
• Scope and assign technical work, ensuring milestones are delivered on time.
• Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks; communicate mitigations to leadership.
• Establish and maintain team metrics and project tracking frameworks.
