Job summary

Waterfield Tech is seeking a Senior Telephony Engineer, Avaya Aura to lead hands‑on deployment of Avaya Aura and unified communications for on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments across commercial, enterprise, and government customers.

You will manage configuration, testing, cutover, and data gathering, while guiding migration from legacy platforms to cloud/CCaaS and integrating with AI-enabled tools. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with extensive Avaya experience.

Qualifications

8+ years implementing and supporting complex Avaya Aura engagements in large organizations.
Hands-on preventive maintenance, installation, and admin of Avaya gateways and Aura components.
Experience with complex dial plans, call handlers, vectors, and contact center functionality desirable.
Experience with Aura Messaging, Breeze and Breeze plug-ins, and related servers.

Responsibilities

Lead hands-on deployment of Avaya Aura end to end across System Manager, Session Manager, and Voice gateways in on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Own day-to-day technical delivery including configuration, testing, cutover, risks, and changes.
Perform discovery of customer telephony environments and communicate network requirements (DHCP, QoS, DNS).
Configure and deploy Aura call routing, edge, dial plans, and remote work capabilities; ensure integration with CCaaS when required.
