Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort is seeking an experienced AV technician to support events and guest services in a fast-paced environment in Reno, NV. The role requires setting up, operating, and tearing down audio-visual systems for meetings, banquets, and large events, ensuring all equipment functions correctly, and coordinating with multiple departments.

You will manage worksheets, inventory, and on-site logistics while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

Experience in audio video technical services and lighting or related education/experience.
Ability to operate under long shifts in a high-energy environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to read and write, perform basic math, and complete tasks.

Responsibilities

Listen and respond to guest inquiries with a positive, clear voice to support guest satisfaction.
Coordinate with departments and teams for successful events.
Prepare shift worksheets, sign-in temp labor, issue keys/radios, review prior shifts log.
Conduct inventory checks and AV/production materials management.
Set-up and tear down AV equipment for standard and special events, including electrical distribution.
