Clayton State University seeks an experienced Audiovisual Professional Lead to support campus learning, collaboration, and events. Reporting to the Audiovisual Services Manager, you will ensure reliable AV performance and top-notch service for students, faculty, staff, and guests.

You will install, operate, and maintain classrooms, conference spaces, and venues, supporting in-person, virtual, and hybrid events with a focus on continuous improvement and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, Media Technology, Communications, Electronics, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting audiovisual technologies in higher education, corporate, or event production environments.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and related collaboration technologies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and service excellence.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic support environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, repair, and upgrade audiovisual systems used in classrooms, conference rooms, event venues, and other University facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, and system integration issues affecting audiovisual services and user experiences.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, functionality, and overall user satisfaction.
  • Maintain audiovisual equipment inventories, asset records, technical standards, and operational documentation.
  • Provide technical support for commencement ceremonies, orientation programs, conferences, presentations, campus events, and other signature University functions.
  • Coordinate, manage, and operate audiovisual technologies that support in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Support video streaming, recording, webcast production, and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Teams Live Events, YouTube Studio, and related technologies.
  • Ensure the successful setup, operation, and teardown of event technology while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining audiovisual technology standards and lifecycle replacement strategies.
  • Maintain inventories of audiovisual assets and related resources.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance teaching, learning, collaboration, and customer experience.
  • Utilize ServiceNow or similar platforms to manage incidents, service requests, and work orders.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and ensure service continuity.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and service improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and end-user reference materials.
  • Develop and deliver technology training and orientation sessions for faculty and staff.
  • Promote effective use of classroom, meeting room, and collaboration technologies.
