Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Technical Event Producer / AV Event Technician in Chicago for onsite work in a revamped Auditorium environment. You will lead production for executive, corporate, hybrid, webinar, and live-streamed events, coordinating across rooms, vendors, and remote teams.

Responsibilities cover planning, rehearsals, live operation, troubleshooting, and post-event wrap-up, with a focus on high-profile programs and cross-time-zone support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years producing technical elements for corporate events, meetings, webinars, and live streams.
• Ownership of AV event production from requirements to post-event wrap-up.
• Hands-on experience with Teams and Zoom event delivery and with PTZ cameras, mixers, and encoders.
• Ability to read technical drawings, lead crews, work independently, and troubleshoot live production.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning docs, and stakeholder service.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery from intake through rehearsal, live execution, recording, debrief, and media handoff.
• Operate the Chicago Auditorium/Event Space and control rooms, including video, audio, projection, cameras, lighting, and teleprompter systems.
• Coordinate with Event Manager and stakeholders to develop run-of-show, cue sheets, staffing plans, and contingency plans.
• Lead checks, rehearsals, and dry runs; monitor platform health and manage live incidents to protect event continuity.
• Document procedures, maintain inventories, and coordinate with vendors for smooth production.
