Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a Technical Event Producer/AV Event Technician to support executive, corporate, hybrid, webinar, and live-streamed events in an onsite Chicago setting. You will operate advanced production, broadcast, conferencing, audio, video, lighting, streaming, and room-control systems.

As the primary technical partner, you will plan, rehearse, execute, troubleshoot, and continuously improve event production with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience producing technical elements for corporate events, meetings, webinars, and live streams.
• Strong ownership of AV event production from requirements through post-event wrap-up.
• Hands-on experience with Teams and Zoom event delivery and production gear.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery from intake through rehearsal, live execution, and media handoff.
• Operate auditorium, control room, audio, video, lighting, streaming, and room-control systems.
• Support events across corporate offices and external venues, including remote participants.
• Create production plans, run-of-show, cue sheets, and staffing plans.
• Lead checks, rehearsals, and system validation before live events.
