DoorDash Labs in San Francisco is seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer to lead the buildout, testing and maintenance of autonomous robotic systems. You will collaborate with hardware and software engineers, technicians, operations, and safety teams to improve safety and utilization of our vehicles.

You bring a BS/MS in engineering, 4+ years in autonomous hardware/software, hands-on experience with LiDAR, RADAR, GPS, cameras, and CAD tools like SolidWorks or Onshape.

Qualifikationen

• BS/MS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years working with autonomous hardware/software.
• Experience with AV components (LiDAR, RADAR, GPS, cameras).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and datasheets.
• Soldering, crimping and meticulous cable management.
• Familiarity with CNC, machining, welding and 3D printers.
• Strong electromechanical repair skills and diagnostic tooling.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks, Onshape.

• Lead integration and testing of autonomous hardware systems.
• Design, prototype, and install proof-of-concept sensor systems.
• Guide vehicle lifecycle from build to operational shakedown.
• Build test benches for mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software systems.
• Document vehicle integration procedures and assembly steps.
• Perform root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Scale provisioning and validation for expanding fleets.
• Collaborate across teams to meet project validation needs.
• Address high-level challenges with safety as a priority.
