Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to lead a shop team toward excellent customer care. You will interact directly with customers, explain problems and propose solutions, and mentor junior technicians to enhance service quality.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of diagnostic experience, ASE certifications, and a valid driver's license. Expect a dynamic shop environment with opportunities for growth and continued training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years automotive diagnostic, problem‑solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5, plus two others).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check completed.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, AC and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels when needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff.
• Mentor other technicians and assist with technical tasks.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain an organized, safe and efficient shop environment.
