Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking a skilled Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, and to lead a shop team in delivering superior customer service. You will interact directly with customers, explain problems and proposed repairs, and mentor junior staff.

The role emphasizes ongoing learning, adherence to safety rules, and maintaining an organized work environment while supporting store management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications are preferred (A4, A5, plus 2 from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• Section 609 certification is required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension/alignmment, AC and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff clearly.
• Pursue ongoing learning through formal training to stay current with automotive tech.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep management informed of issues as they arise.
• Maintain an organized, safe shop and follow company policies.
