Job summary

Auto Plus in Minnesota is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, mentor teammates, and deliver superior customer service by educating customers on problems and proposed solutions.

The role requires 3+ years of diagnostic experience, ASE certifications, and licenses; you will explain diagnoses, stay current with auto technology, and maintain an organized shop while adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications are PREFERRED (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance)
• Section 609 certification required
• State Inspection license if applicable
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications -- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers.
• Continuously learn new technical information through formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians and maintain an organized shop.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur
