Job summary

Auto Plus in Georgia is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, and to lead a team toward delivering superior customer service.

You will explain repairs to customers, train junior technicians, and ensure shop standards while adhering to safety policies; candidates should have a HS diploma, ASE certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• High level of motivation, energy and customer-focused attitude.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician roles as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff clearly.
• Continuously learn new automotive technologies through training.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep management informed of problems.
• Maintain an organized, safe shop and adhere to company policies.
