Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking an experienced Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, and to lead a team to improve customer care and satisfaction. You will interact directly with customers, explain issues and propose solutions, and mentor other technicians.

The role requires strong automotive repair skills, a valid driver’s license and a commitment to ongoing learning. Availability for days, nights, holidays, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 plus two from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs clearly to customers and staff.
• Continuously update technical knowledge through formal training and coursework.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep management informed of repair issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and adhere to safety policies.
