Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead, Buildrole to supervise and develop a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center, driving production targets and ensuring quality. This frontline role focuses on safety, coaching, and efficient workflow within Carvana’s reconditioning standards.

Responsibilities include directing daily activities, communicating expectations, and collaborating with the Inspection Center GM to manage inventory repairs or rejects based on cost and quality considerations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Carvana’s reconditioning process.
• Demonstrated understanding of our current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with various movements.
• Requires use of safety equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely, meeting production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team; identify strengths/weaknesses; determine opportunities for improvement.
• Provide coaching, development, and performance management to the team.
• Create a work environment that promotes communication, team cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
• Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, and performance standards.
• Review and approve identified defects of incoming inventory.
