Job summary

Carvana is hiring a Build Line Lead to manage a team of hourly associates in the Inspection Center, ensuring timely and quality production. You’ll drive performance, coach staff, and align daily activities with safety and Carvana values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated understanding of reconditioning processes and lean principles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years).
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; standing for extended periods; environment may be cold, hot, noisy, wet and may have fumes or odors from vehicle maintenance.
• Requires safety equipment and ability to work overtime and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center; meet/exceed production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals daily, weekly, monthly.
• Oversee day-to-day team activities; identify strengths/weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide coaching, development, and performance management to team members.
• Create an environment encouraging clear communication, team cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Communicate expectations and goals clearly to the team.
• Identify and resolve conflicts within the team.
• Review defects and approve repairs needed.
