Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is seeking a skilled Technician in Spring Valley, CA to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and lead a team to deliver superior customer service. You will educate customers on problems and proposed repairs while mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities include diagnosing a wide range of automotive systems, explaining repairs, and maintaining a clean, policy-compliant shop. A strong customer focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4/A5 plus two of A1/A6/A7/A8/L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• Valid driver's license; pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, electrical, exhaust, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Mentor and lead technicians in the shop.
• Maintain an organized, policy-compliant work environment.
• Inform management of emerging repair issues.
