Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Auto Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, educate customers, and deliver outstanding service.

The role requires 3+ years of automotive repair experience, ASE certs preferred, 609 certification, and a valid driver's license. The technician will mentor teammates, stay current with automotive tech, and maintain a clean, safe shop while adhering to company policies. This is a full-time, on-site position in Florida.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications are preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance).
• Section 609 certification is required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license is a must.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications for brake/hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or staff.
• Mentor fellow technicians and stay updated with automotive technology.
• Assist team in performing technical activities and communicate shop needs to management.
• Maintain an organized, clean shop and adhere to safety policies.
