Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and mentor a shop team to enhance customer care. You will engage customers, explain repairs clearly, and ensure high-quality service across brake, ignition, electrical, A/C, and suspension work.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on automotive experience, ASE certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work days, nights, weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications are preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1).
• Section 609 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition and electrical, suspension, and A/C systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or staff.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians to improve shop performance and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain an organized shop and adhere to safety, environmental rules and company policies.
