Job summary

Form Energy in Weirton, WV is seeking a Lead (Staff) Process Engineer to own automated production lines for modular battery products, drive yield, quality, and throughput, and partner on control systems and equipment reliability. You will guide robotic cells, design improvements, and maintain high-volume manufacturing standards.

You will lead cross-functional teams, define performance metrics, and mentor engineers to deliver durable solutions and scalable manufacturing capabilities at the Form

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics or related discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep technical understanding of automated equipment for complex systems and sustaining such equipment in live production.
• Hands-on PLC programming with Siemens platforms (S7-1500/S7-1200, TIA Portal) including logic changes.
• Experience with Fanuc Robotics and MES data integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Define and implement OEE and equipment performance metrics to identify loss drivers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Siemens PLC logic across robotic cells and automation equipment.
• Triage equipment-to-MES data flows and ensure accurate production data capture.
• Lead root-cause analysis of assembly, quality, and equipment failures and implement durable fixes.
• Stabilize production across shifts and reduce downtime.
• Provide DFM/DFA input to product design and process engineering.
• Mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams to foster technical excellence.
