Form Energy is hiring a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering in West Virginia. You will lead the production lifecycle from prototypes to high‑volume factory operations, directing a multidisciplinary team to develop robust processes for battery enclosures and module/pack assembly, including robotic joining and leak testing.

You will drive manufacturing‑oriented design with lean principles, manage PFMEA and process validation, and collaborate across Product Design, Quality, and Supply Chain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10 years in engineering roles within battery manufacturing or related industry; 4+ years leading technical teams.
• Experience with equipment procurement, setup and commissioning; validation protocols.
• Strong lean manufacturing understanding in high-volume production.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams on electrochemical systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and optimization of battery manufacturing processes for assembly and packaging.
• Ensure processes are capable ahead of detailed equipment design.
• Oversee design and implementation of joining, sealing, leak testing, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, quality, and supply chain to translate requirements into manufacturing processes.
• Maintain PFMEA, process specifications, measurement systems GR&R, control plans, and inspection methods.
• Lead root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence and drive improvements.
• Deliver equipment and processes that meet production metrics (quality, yield, rate, availability).
• Identify trends and make data-driven decisions for optimization.
