Job summary

Form Energy, an American energy storage company, is hiring a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead the production lifecycle from prototypes to high-volume operations at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV.

You will guide a multidisciplinary team to develop robust processes for battery enclosures and module/pack assembly, including robotics, sealing, and leak testing, ensuring world-class reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10 years in engineering roles within battery manufacturing or related field; 4+ years leading technical teams.
• Experience procuring, setting up, commissioning equipment; understanding qualification/validation.
• Strong lean manufacturing knowledge in high-volume production.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and project collaboration.
• Startup environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of battery manufacturing processes for assembly.
• Identify capable processes and demonstrate them before equipment design.
• Oversee manual and robotic assembly, joining, sealing, leak testing, and QC.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturing processes meeting targets.
• Maintain PFMEA, process specs, GR&R, control plans, and inspection methods.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver equipment and processes to hit quality, yield, rate, and availability targets.
• Identify data-driven trends to optimize processes.
