Job summary

Form Energy, a West Virginia based energy storage innovator, is hiring a Production Manager to lead the 24/7 Final Assembly operation across cell, module, pack, and DCDC production. You will own safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and serve as the critical link between manufacturing engineering, quality, supply chain, and production.

Based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, this role offers relocation assistance and a path to drive operational excellence while maintaining on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or technical field.
• 5+ years leading teams in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• 10+ years in high-volume manufacturing, preferably electromechanical assembly.
• Experience running multi-stage assembly operations with line balancing, takt-based production, and end-of-line testing.
• Familiarity with electrical safety practices for energized products and power electronics.
• Demonstrated lean manufacturing and structured problem solving (8D, A3, DMAIC).
• Ability to define and monitor production KPIs (safety, quality, yield, throughput, OTD, cost).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance for the cell, module, pack (thermal, tower, and general assembly), and DCDC production lines across all shifts of a 24/7 operation.
• Build a culture that prioritizes safety and product quality while consistently meeting production targets.
• Lead, develop, and mentor an organization of associate managers, shift supervisors, and production associates, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Drive line balancing, takt attainment, and throughput improvement across sequential assembly operations, managing WIP and flow between cell, module, pack, and DCDC lines.
• Ensure standardized work, poka-yoke checks, and quality gates are executed consistently across shifts.
• Use structured problem solving to drive root cause resolution of defects, test failures, and rework.
• Partner with supply chain and materials teams to ensure line-side material availability and inventory accuracy.
• Own tier meeting execution, stand-ups, visual management, and escalation; lead lean CI initiatives.
• Provide feedback to design and advanced manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability.
