Job summary

Form Energy in Weirton, WV is hiring a Process Engineering Manager to oversee our electrode manufacturing operations. You will lead a team of process engineers, equipment engineers, and technicians responsible for powder handling, mixing, and roll-to-roll tape formation, driving performance and reliability on the floor.

You will own staffing, coaching, and performance, establish section metrics (OEE, yield, cycle time), and partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver robust manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing/production operations, including team management experience.
• Strong material science foundation - connect powder properties and tape mechanics to outcomes.
• Proven track record hiring, developing, and managing process/equipment engineers or technicians.
• Familiar with manufacturing metrics (OEE, downtime) and root-cause problem solving.
• Working knowledge of roll-to-roll processes - powder transformation, mixing, web handling.
• Influential, able to represent the team's priorities to peers and leadership.
• Pragmatic, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

• Own the section's operating results across powder handling, mixing, and roll-to-roll tape formation, holding your team accountable for line cadence, downtime, and overall throughput
• Manage and develop a small, mostly-engineer team of process engineers, equipment engineers, and technicians, including staffing, coaching, and performance decisions
• Establish and track section-level metrics (OEE, yield, cycle time) and direct resourcing toward bottlenecks across each process step
• Set methods and standards for evaluating and vetting floor-level solutions, ensuring fixes are safe, robust, and grounded in material science before scale-up
• Represent the section in cross-functional planning with peer engineering and manufacturing teams, resolving constraints that affect quality and throughput company-wide
• Build and prioritize a continuous improvement roadmap for the section, balancing waste reduction, ergonomics, and process reliability against production demands
