Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Master Technician in Maryland to diagnose drivability, A/C and electrical systems while mentoring a shop team. You will educate customers on problems and proposed solutions, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.

The role requires five or more years of automotive diagnostic experience, leadership abilities, and ASE certifications (A1–A8) with a State Inspection license and a valid driver’s license. Availability for varied shifts is needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications preferred (A1–A8).
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license; ability to work days, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and A/C systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Lead and mentor shop team to drive customer care and satisfaction.
• Maintain organized shop and adhere to policies and safety rules.
• Assist fellow technicians as needed and escalate issues when required.
• Keep management informed of repair progress and problems as they arise.
