Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking a Master Technician with strong diagnostic and leadership skills to guide a shop team and provide superior customer service. You will diagnose drivability, HVAC and electrical systems, explain repairs to customers, and mentor peers to improve workmanship.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, ASE certifications, and a 609 certification, with availability for varied shifts to maintain service levels. A robust benefits package is typical for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Ability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, AC and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain technical diagnoses and proposed repairs to customers or staff.
• Continuously learn new automotive tech through formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians in technical activities.
• Keep management informed of repair issues.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
