The position includes supervision of junior staff, adherence to safety standards, and participation in ongoing training for body repair processes. Compensation includes a commission/flag pay structure and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.
• Knowledge of repair process by manufacturer is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates repair status with team.
• Performs quality repairs and maintains on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery and components to access areas for repair.
• Participates in all required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using tools.
• Directs apprentice on tasks and explains procedures.
