Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Manager to supervise, direct, and review audit engagements across planning, field work, and wrap-up stages. You will lead client communications, support business development, and help ensure engagement profitability through accurate billings and collections.

The role requires strong GAAP/GAAS knowledge, leadership, and the ability to coach staff. Five or more years of audit experience and a US CPA are expected, with on-site collaboration in the Spokane area.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of prior audit experience with supervisory responsibility
• Active US CPA license
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop client relationships and manage engagement profitability

Responsibilities

• Supervises audit teams and reviews workpapers and conclusions on engagements
• Supports business development and client relationship management
• Advises clients on regulatory and accounting matters (GAAP/GAAS)
• Documents, tests, and assesses internal control over financial reporting
• Provides on-the-job training and coaching to engagement staff
• Ensures engagement profitability including billings and collections
