Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to supervise audit engagements from planning through wrap-up, drive profitability, and contribute to business development. You will mentor staff, review work papers, and advise clients on financial reporting issues in GAAP/GAAS contexts.

The role emphasizes ensuring effective internal controls, adherence to SEC/PCAOB guidelines, and on-site guidance during field work for public company clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics is required.
• Five or more years of prior audit experience.
• Active licensed US CPA or international equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
• Experience with SEC/PCAOB reporting rules is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review audit work, on-site during field work.
• Provide guidance and training to Associates and Senior Associates.
• Manage engagement profitability including billings and collections.
• Communicate with Audit Committee and client on issues.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/GAAS and firm standards.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and business development.
