Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. is seeking a Paving Field Manager to oversee asphalt paving operations on construction sites in Chesapeake, VA. The role requires directing crews, coordinating with project managers and field staff to meet timelines and quality standards, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate brings a strong paving background, leadership experience, and the ability to interface with clients, inspectors, and vendors. Sign-On Bonus Incentive is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; continuing education in construction desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience in at least one trade (excavation, pipe, concrete, or paving) with 1+ year supervision preferred.
• OSHA 10 hour certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical proficiency in asphalt paving.
• Supervises hourly crewmembers and plans manpower and equipment.
• Manages deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safety, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
• Follows Allan Myers Safety Program and proper PPE and incident reporting.
• Coordinates with Field Managers, Superintendents, and customers to implement project plans.
• Provides on-the-job training to crewmembers for assigned tasks.
• Communicates performance expectations on productivity, quality and safety.
• Maintains timely documentation for project activities including change orders and invoices.
