Job summary

Akima Global Logistics is seeking a Supply Technician Lead to act as the subject matter expert for daily receipt, inspection, accountability, storage, and processing of Army equipment turned in at a contractor site.

You will verify documentation, update records in Army logistics systems, and support audits and inspections while maintaining accurate property accountability throughout the turn-in process. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; logistics training preferred.
• 3-5 years of logistics, warehousing, or supply experience (Army or contractor environment preferred).
• Familiarity with Army turn-in, supply, or property accountability operations.
• Army regulations and systems (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1; GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process equipment and materiel turn-ins from U.S. Army units in accordance with AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1.
• Verify turn-in documentation (DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts) for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct visual inspections and apply correct condition codes for serviceability.
• Identify, segregate, and tag unserviceable, reparable, or excess items.
• Ensure timely entries into Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
• Assist in inventory reconciliation, discrepancy research, and property adjustments.
• Maintain accountability of all equipment and materiel throughout the turn-in process.
• Support audits, PARs, and inspections by COR or Army officials.
• Safely store, stage, and organize equipment in designated warehouse or yard areas.
• Operate MHE as required (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Follow Army and OSHA standards for HAZMAT handling and safety.
• Provide assistance to unit supply personnel during turn-in.
• Coordinate with supervisors, QA, and transportation personnel for timely processing.
• Communicate effectively with Army representatives regarding documentation and discrepancies.
