Job summary

Akima Global Logistics seeks a Warehouse Specialist to perform receiving, storage, and distribution for Army equipment turn-ins. You will document, stage, and safeguard items per Army regulations and ISO standards, while supporting audits and inventory accuracy.

The role requires 2–4 years of warehouse or logistics experience, familiarity with Army procedures, and ability to travel up to 75% of the time. Forklift certification and proficiency with GCSS-Army Suite are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or substituted with equivalent work experience.
• 2–4 years of warehouse, supply, or logistics experience preferred (Army or contractor).
• Familiarity with Army turn-in and supply procedures desirable.
• Proficiency with Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, LMP, DPAS).
• Must be able to travel within the United States up to 75% of the time; 90–110 days travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify equipment and materiel turned in from Army units.
• Check turn-in documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in inspection and condition coding of items before storage or disposition.
• Coordinate staging and movement of items into warehouse or yard areas.
• Store, organize, and maintain items in warehouse locations in accordance with regulations.
• Perform location surveys, bin checks, and cyclic inventories.
• Maintain segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, HAZMAT, and sensitive items.
• Support preparation for PARs and audits.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE safely.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in packaging, labeling, and preparing equipment for shipment or redistribution.
• Input and update property transactions in GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
