Job summary

Carr’s Tree Service in the upper Midwest is seeking a dedicated Crew Member to join a safety‑driven team. You’ll perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal, as well as ground operations and stump grinding, including emergency storm work.

You’ll support climbers with rigging, operate chainsaws and wood chippers, and assist with site cleanup while following DOT/OSHA guidelines. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Reliable, safety‑oriented, and a strong team player.
• Able to meet the physical demands and work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Tree pruning, trimming, and removal operations.
• Ground operations including brush chipping, mowing, chainsaw work, and site cleanup.
• Stump grinding and debris removal; emergency storm response.
• Assist climbers with rigging and aerial operations.
• Staging and handling of equipment for safe tree work.
• Operate chainsaws, wood chippers, pole saws, and brush mowers safely.
• Inspect and report equipment issues; maintain tools in good condition.
• Interact professionally with property owners and the public.
