Job summary

Amazon's Prime Video is seeking an Applied Science Manager to lead a science team focused on personalization and recommendations. You will work with engineers, product managers, and business partners to deliver state-of-the-art AI-powered experiences across devices.

You will own end-to-end development, mentor teams, and collaborate with leaders across product, research, and engineering to push the boundaries of video personalization.

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
• 4+ years of applied research experience
• 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

Responsibilities

• Lead to develop AI solutions for Prime Video recommendation and personalization systems using Deep learning, GenAI, Reinforcement Learning, and related methods
• Work closely with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch AI solutions end-to-end
• Effectively communicate technical and non-technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field
• Hire and grow a science team working in this exciting video personalization domain.
